It is our 135th birthday!

It was on 10th May 1889 when 13 golfing enthusiasts got together and voted in favour of forming the Hong Kong Golf Club - and thereby introducing golf to the city for the very first time.

From these humble beginnings, we are proud to have grown to what we are today: one of the most recognised and awarded golf clubs anywhere, hosting world-class championships and providing first-rate courses, facilities and services.

In the past year alone we have seen the hugely welcome return of the historic Hong Kong Open, the exciting debut of the Aramco Team Series Hong Kong and the explosive debut of LIV Golf Hong Kong!

But our efforts extend beyond golf - and indeed, such is our history, our place in the community and our significant commitment to ecology and the environment, that we are the only golf course in the world that has been recognised by the UNESCO Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation.

HKGC 135th Anniversary Ballot Days

To celebrate this historic milestone, which makes us among the very oldest golf clubs in all of Asia, we’re offering Hong Kong residents the chance to play at Fanling for just HK$135. 

Available on selected weekdays and times during July and August, please note that entry to the special Ballot Days is determined by lucky draw.
